Letter From the CEO

Welcome to the Official Website of Psi Chapter—Kappa Alpha Theta at University
of Wisconsin-Madison. We're glad you're here!

Kappa Alpha Theta is an International Women’s Fraternity established in 1870 as the first Greek-letter fraternity known among women. Initiated members join a community of over 250,000 women who all hold the same values. Thetas strive to exemplify our core values of scholarship, leadership, service, personal excellence and friendship/sisterhood. At Psi Chapter, these traits couldn’t be more exemplified. The first time I walked into Theta during recruitment, I was nervous where I would fit in the Greek system at UW-Madison.  At Theta, I could tell how closely bonded every woman was to each other and how committed they were to their chapter, and I felt at home. On bid day, I thought Theta and am so grateful Theta thought of me. What I love about our chapter is how different and unique every individual is, yet also similar in what we hold important.

Thetas are leaders at UW-Madison, and I couldn’t be prouder to see my sisters running student organizations, being captains of club sport teams, excelling at jobs and internships, and overall just demonstrating what it means to be a leading woman. We welcome each other’s accomplishments with excitement and the happiness in the room is so genuine when a sister gets into a program in school or gets an A on her final.

Theta has become home for all of its members. Walking through the halls of 108 Langdon, you’ll find us studying in the lake room,  eating breakfast on the sundeck, and having movie marathons in the second floor lounge. I can always count on my sisters to go on coffee runs, attempt to wake me up for early morning yoga classes, and take adventures around Madison together. These lifelong friendships are what makes me so glad to be a member of Psi Chapter.

I am extremely honored to serve as Chapter President for 2019. I cannot wait to give back to Theta what it has given to me.

Take a look through our website to see what it means to be a Theta Badger.

Theta Love and Mine,

Clare Jennings

Explore Theta

Here at Psi Chapter, we do things BIG. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL. We love where we came from, what we stand for, and where we are going. Here's to sharing what you love with the world.

Opening the doors of 108 Langdon to everyone going through recruitment is such a memorable and rewarding time each and every fall. One of our favorite things about starting the new year, is coming together to welcome the newest member class. We have so much Theta love, and can't wait to share it.

As an international organization of women committed to spreading the widest influence for good, we have contributed millions of dollars over the years to local and National CASA programs, as well as countless volunteer hours. It has been an amazing 25 years, but our work is not done.

For those of you who don’t know about the fundamentals of collegiate Greek life, and even for those who do, you’ll learn that the foundation of any sorority is sisterhood. As a Theta, you know that each sister will stand up for you and be there whenever you need her.
